# Activate and supervise agents

To activate and supervise agents, start with agent entitlement plus reports.read or settings.read. In Admin, review available agents, review entitlement, open agent details, and read Agent Handbook. Review the agent scope, evidence, approval state, and outcome; an agent recommendation does not authorize a sensitive action.

## Before you start

- Agent entitlement plus reports.read or settings.read

## Review Agent Workforce

1. Open /agent-workforce and confirm the current entitlement and role.
2. Open an agent to read its purpose, scope, status, and approval requirements before activation.

## Supervise Agent OS

1. Open /agent-os only when the Agent entitlement gate permits it.
2. Review loops, approvals, memory, automation, and settings as separate controls; do not approve a sensitive action from summary text alone.

## Read the Agent OS guide

1. Open /agent-os/guide for the operating guidance available to the current role.
2. Return to the live Agent OS record to verify current state before taking an action.

## Review agent performance

1. Open /reports/agent-performance and select the intended agent, branch, and period.
2. Use recorded performance evidence for review; a recommendation or draft does not authorize an operational action.

## Expected result

Agent Workforce shows entitlement and availability; Agent OS shows only entitled operational controls; performance reports show recorded evidence. Drafts, recommendations, pending approvals, running work, and completed work remain visibly distinct.

## Permissions

- Agent Workforce and Agent OS accept reports.read or settings.read; Agent OS also requires Agent entitlement. Agent Performance requires reports.read.

## Troubleshooting

### An agent or Agent OS control is unavailable.

Check the Agent entitlement, signed-in role, and the route’s reports.read or settings.read requirement. Do not bypass a missing entitlement or approval; record the agent, route, visible status, and branch for Support.

### Agent activity or performance has no clear outcome.

Review the loop or approval status and cited evidence before starting another action. Distinguish draft, pending, running, blocked, and completed states; never resend private prompts or secrets as evidence.
