Review VAT recorded
To review VAT recorded, start with finance access, the correct Business Account, branch, reporting period, and original financial evidence. In Admin, select period and branch, review VAT summary, inspect ledger entries, and export VAT data. Confirm the branch, period, source document, tax treatment, amount, and status before recording or exporting financial information.
Before you start
- Finance access, the correct Business Account, branch, reporting period, and original financial evidence
- Confirm amount, tax, status, currency, and dates before recording or exporting
Steps
- Open /finance/tax and set the accounting period and branch before reading VAT totals.
- Review output VAT, input VAT, net position, and the available tax mapping for the same scope.
- Open ledger detail and compare a questioned amount with its source invoice or expense.
- Export the displayed VAT data only after the period, branch, currency, and source status are verified.
Expected result
VAT summary, mapping, ledger rows, and export use the same accounting period and branch. Ledger detail can be traced to its source record; export remains a report of recorded data rather than a filing confirmation.
Permissions
- VAT Recorded accepts tax.read, reports.read, or analytics.read; exports and any mapping changes keep their own operation checks.
Troubleshooting
VAT totals or ledger rows are empty.
Confirm accounting period, branch, source invoice or expense status, and tax mapping. Empty may be valid for the scope; do not enter or alter source values to force a report result.
VAT export differs from the screen.
Keep the selected period and branch visible, regenerate once, and compare source row counts and totals. Treat the export as recorded-data evidence, not proof of filing; escalate the scope and differing totals.
