Read the POS terms of service
The public Terms route displays the currently published terms returned by the legal content service. Open Terms from the login page, read the current published version, and follow the Business Account owner process for contractual questions. Use the current published notice and collect only the customer information needed for the stated operational purpose.
Before you start
- No sign-in is required to read the published terms.
- Use the current published version rather than a saved screenshot or old copy.
Steps
- Open Terms from the login page.
- Read the current published version.
- Follow the Business Account owner process for contractual questions.
Expected result
The current published Terms version is readable from its public route without implying that staff can amend it. Use the published document currently displayed and collect only the customer information required for the stated purpose.
Permissions
- Public read access. Contract changes or acceptance decisions belong to the authorized Business Account owner.
Troubleshooting
Staff cannot open Terms from the login page because the control is missing, disabled, or rejected before they read the current published version.
Before reopening the workflow, verify: No sign-in is required to read the published terms. Use the current published version rather than a saved screenshot or old copy. Check those conditions on /legal/terms and repeat only the blocked step once. Preserve the screen and ask Support to review the document title, public URL, version, or consent control; omit credentials and customer data. For escalation, state what happens when staff open Terms from the login page.
The published version or explicit consent state is missing or unclear after the final checkpoint: Follow the Business Account owner process for contractual questions.
Check the public URL, published title/version, connection, and any explicit cookie or customer-consent choice. Refresh the public document once after connectivity returns; do not repeat a consent change until its state is clear. An unresolved mismatch needs Support review with the document title, public URL, version, or consent control; omit credentials and customer data. Use the visible and saved records to determine whether staff could follow the Business Account owner process for contractual questions.
