Configure Business Account settings
To configure Business Account settings, start with settings access and verified Business Account, branch, user, or configuration details. In Admin, edit business identity, edit regional defaults, edit tax details, and save settings. Settings can affect every user or branch in scope, so review the selected Business Account and branch before saving.
Before you start
- Settings access and verified Business Account, branch, user, or configuration details
- Confirm whether the change is personal, Business Account-wide, or branch-specific before saving
Steps
- Open /settings and select the Business section; confirm whether the form is Business Account-wide or branch-scoped.
- Edit only the displayed identity, regional, or tax fields backed by current business records.
- Review the old and proposed values, resolve validation messages, and save once.
- Wait for the saved state before leaving; use the discard action only when intentionally abandoning unsaved edits.
Expected result
After a successful save, the Business section reloads with the intended identity, regional, and tax values for the stated scope. Discard restores the saved record; a failed save keeps corrections available and does not imply completion.
Permissions
- Settings requires settings.read; saving Business Account or branch values requires the write capability enforced by the selected settings section.
Troubleshooting
The Business form will not save.
Correct the displayed identity, regional, tax, or required-field validation and submit once. Keep the selected scope visible and do not switch sections while the outcome is unknown.
Saved values differ after reload.
Confirm Business Account or branch scope and compare the exact old, submitted, and displayed values. Stop dependent changes and send Support the section, field, scope, time, and non-sensitive values.
