Sign in to POS
Use the assigned email and password to open the register; the returned role and capabilities determine which screens and actions appear. Open the POS login page, enter the assigned email and password, and enter a PIN only when your configured login flow requests it. Confirm the active branch and signed-in role before taking orders on a shared terminal.
Before you start
- An active POS user assigned to a Business Account and branch.
- The assigned email and password; enter a PIN only if the configured sign-in flow requests it.
Steps
- Open the POS login page.
- Enter the assigned email and password.
- Enter a PIN only when your configured login flow requests it.
- Select Sign in and wait for the register to load.
Expected result
The register loads with the assigned user, Business Account, branch, and capability-filtered navigation. Do not take orders until the displayed identity and branch are correct.
Permissions
- An active POS user assigned to the intended Business Account and branch.
Troubleshooting
When staff open the POS login page, POS blocks progress before they can enter the assigned email and password.
Verify these conditions before another test: An active POS user assigned to a Business Account and branch. The assigned email and password; enter a PIN only if the configured sign-in flow requests it. Reopen /login once and read the exact validation or configuration message. If the control remains unavailable, stop and give Support the terminal ID, intended branch, visible message, and time; omit passwords, PINs, codes, and reset links. Record the visible response when staff open the POS login page.
The signed-in identity, branch, terminal, or navigation remains wrong after the final checkpoint: Select Sign in and wait for the register to load.
Check the account identity, branch label, terminal readiness, connection, and pending-transaction indicator. Correct the identity or session condition, then retry once. Stop if the branch or user still differs. If those records still disagree, stop and send Support the terminal ID, intended branch, visible message, and time; omit passwords, PINs, codes, and reset links. Confirm from the records whether staff could select Sign in and wait for the register to load.
