Send a kitchen round
A dine-in tab can send the current round to its order and then to the Kitchen Display; a saved round can still report a KDS delivery failure. Open the table tab, review items and notes in the current round, and choose Send to kitchen. Confirm the table or recipient, service mode, promise time, and kitchen status before continuing.
Before you start
- An authenticated POS session on the intended branch.
- A reviewed order with the required service mode, table or recipient, and fulfilment details.
Steps
- Open the table tab.
- Review items and notes in the current round.
- Choose Send to kitchen.
- Read the result and re-fire from the order only if instructed.
Expected result
The new kitchen round contains only the selected unsent items and produces one visible kitchen update. Do not open a duplicate table session or fulfilment order while the original result is unknown.
Permissions
- The staff member needs POS access for the active branch; table merge, kitchen round, and settlement controls appear only when the order state supports them.
Troubleshooting
When staff open the table tab, POS blocks progress before they can review items and notes in the current round.
A safe retry starts by confirming: An authenticated POS session on the intended branch. A reviewed order with the required service mode, table or recipient, and fulfilment details. Reopen /billing once and read the exact validation or configuration message. If the control remains unavailable, stop and give Support the safe order/table reference, branch, service mode, slot, status, and time. Capture the displayed state produced when staff open the table tab.
The table, kitchen ticket, fulfilment slot, recipient, or order status is unresolved after the final checkpoint: Read the result and re-fire from the order only if instructed.
Inspect the original table session, kitchen ticket, promise time, recipient, and order status. Retry once only after finding the original order or table session and proving the change was not saved. If those records still disagree, stop and send Support the safe order/table reference, branch, service mode, slot, status, and time. Check the saved state after staff read the result and re-fire from the order only if instructed.
