Use POS navigation and search
The sidebar groups register, catalog, customers, operations, insights, and support routes and hides links the user cannot access. Expand or collapse the sidebar, use Search register to filter available destinations, and choose a visible destination. Confirm the active branch and signed-in role before taking orders on a shared terminal.
Before you start
- An active POS user or public access appropriate to this page.
- The intended Business Account, branch, and terminal identity are known before operational work begins.
Steps
- Expand or collapse the sidebar.
- Use Search register to filter available destinations.
- Choose a visible destination.
- Use the profile menu for branch, language, billing, support, and logout.
Expected result
Search returns only destinations visible to the current role and the chosen page opens within the active branch. Do not take orders until the displayed identity and branch are correct.
Permissions
- Access follows the user assignment and branch scope returned at sign-in; hidden routes require the corresponding assigned capability.
Troubleshooting
Staff cannot expand or collapse the sidebar because the control is missing, disabled, or rejected before they use Search register to filter available destinations.
Check the required state before trying again: An active POS user or public access appropriate to this page. The intended Business Account, branch, and terminal identity are known before operational work begins. Check those conditions on /billing and repeat only the blocked step once. Preserve the screen and ask Support to review the terminal ID, intended branch, visible message, and time; omit passwords, PINs, codes, and reset links. Note whether POS changes as staff expand or collapse the sidebar.
The signed-in identity, branch, terminal, or navigation remains wrong after the final checkpoint: Use the profile menu for branch, language, billing, support, and logout.
Check the account identity, branch label, terminal readiness, connection, and pending-transaction indicator. Correct the identity or session condition, then retry once. Stop if the branch or user still differs. Do not repeat the action if the records conflict; ask Support to review the terminal ID, intended branch, visible message, and time; omit passwords, PINs, codes, and reset links. The final evidence must establish whether staff could use the profile menu for branch, language, billing, support, and logout.
