Configure receipt printing
Receipt printing uses the browser print path and branch receipt configuration; verify paper width and output before serving customers. Confirm the printer is connected and selected by the operating system, use the branch-configured 58 mm or 80 mm layout, and print a completed receipt. Test the device on the intended terminal and keep manual fallback procedures available during service.
Before you start
- The POS terminal is assigned to the intended branch.
- The operating system and browser can access the printer, scanner, camera, microphone, scale, or heartbeat feature used by the task.
Steps
- Confirm the printer is connected and selected by the operating system.
- Use the branch-configured 58 mm or 80 mm layout.
- Print a completed receipt.
- Check alignment, QR, totals, and cut position.
Expected result
The intended printer produces a legible test or receipt at the configured 58 mm or 80 mm width. Use the documented manual fallback until the device test succeeds on the intended terminal.
Permissions
- POS access is required; operating-system device permission or installation rights may also be required on the terminal.
Troubleshooting
The browser print dialog does not show the intended receipt printer.
Confirm the printer is powered, connected, installed in the operating system, and selected on this terminal. Reopen the completed receipt and print one test. Use the manual receipt fallback until the device appears.
The receipt prints cropped, misaligned, or at the wrong paper width.
Confirm the branch is configured for 58 mm or 80 mm, then compare totals, QR, alignment, and cut position on one test print. Do not reprint customer copies repeatedly; report the width, terminal, printer, and safe receipt reference.
