Review refunds
Refunds shows refund records and their reasons, amounts, methods, status, and related order context. Open Refunds, use available search and filters, and open the required refund. Verify the original order, eligible items, amount, reason, authorization, and resulting status before repeating an action.
Before you start
- An authenticated POS session with access to the intended branch.
- The original order reference, current status, paid amount, and eligible lines are known.
Steps
- Open Refunds.
- Use available search and filters.
- Open the required refund.
- Compare amount, method, reason, and status with the original order.
Expected result
The refund list shows branch-scoped requests and final outcomes without implying that pending means paid. Do not repeat a void, return, or refund until both the original record and any resulting record have been checked.
Permissions
- Orders and payment history require their assigned POS capabilities; void, return, and refund actions require the specific action permission and may require manager approval.
Troubleshooting
A known refund does not appear under the selected status or date range.
Confirm the active branch, clear the status filter, and use the original refund or order reference. Refresh once after the payment connection is stable. If it remains missing, do not issue another refund; provide Support the safe order/payment reference, amount, branch, and time.
The refund status or amount conflicts with the original order or payment record.
Open the original order and Payments entry and compare amount, method, status, and refund reference. Do not retry or create a replacement refund while any record is pending. Escalate the safe references and differing values without card data.
